My guests on the 2Goodmedia Podcast are Camille Cohen and Michael Le Goff, the young founders of COHLE GALLERY, an urban and contemporary art gallery in Paris. Our conversation takes place during Fenx’s solo exhibition, one of the figurative artists represented by the gallery. In this exhibition entitled “Grow up”, Fenx is going for the first time in small format and is interested in the covers of Playboy magazines, which he has often used for his paintings. We talk about the beginnings of the COHLE GALLERY online in urban art exclusively and the evolution towards contemporary art. A modern and pragmatic approach to developing an art gallery: from organizing pop-up exhibitions to opening a physical space in the heart of Pigalle. An inspiring conversation about being a gallery owner 3.0.

Who are Camille Cohen and Michael Le Goff?
Camille Cohen and Michael Le Goff are the founders of COHLE Gallery located in the Pigalle district of Paris.
What is the COHLE Gallery : urban and contemporary art gallery in Paris
We meet at the COHLE gallery to record this podcast with Camille Cohen and Michael Le Goff, the two founders of the Parisian art gallery. This young contemporary and urban art gallery is located at 17 rue Victor Massé near Pigalle, one of the most emblematic and lively areas of Paris, very close to Montmartre.
How do you go from street graffiti to paintings exhibited in a Parisian art gallery? This podcast with the COHLE gallery is also an opportunity to explain what urban art is, better known for its graffiti that invades the urban space and less for being exhibited inside art galleries.
What is urban art?
Urban art or street art includes art forms created in the public space and encompasses various techniques such as graffiti, stencils, mosaics, stickers, posters and collages, advertisements and installations. Urban art as an individual initiative began to flourish in France after May 1968. At the beginning of the 21st century, the tendency is rather to institutionalise street art, which has its place in galleries, museums, auction rooms or on monumental facades.
What is the difference between urban art gallery and graffiti art?
The main distinction between urban art and graffiti art is that street artists do not systematically use the writing and aerosol tools used by graffiti artists.
Graffiti art has been a real social phenomenon at the conjunction of aesthetic movements and a socio-cultural context that has aroused public enthusiasm and opened the way for many artists.
Many of the artists who came out of Graffiti art have moved on, abandoning the spray can, and are now exhibiting in galleries. Others continue to occupy urban space and reuse techniques such as mosaics to exhibit in galleries.
The COHLE Gallery represents today young artists of contemporary art and abstract or figurative art.
Fenx’s ‘Grow up’ exhibition at the COHLE GALLERY
Loïc Le Floch aka Fenx is a visual artist born in the mid-70s. His work transcribes his emotional, cultural and iconographic journey, often drawing on the emerging counter-cultures in which he took part, such as graffiti or skateboarding.
An exciting episode of the 2goodmedia podcast for art lovers to discover Fenx’s works and this series in which he takes over what he believes are the most emblematic Playboy covers.

In the past, Fenx has already worked on Playboy covers as part of the creation of wall sculptures in which his character reads his magazine from his armchair. Following the success of these covers, he decided to dedicate an entire exhibition to them.
In this exhibition, we find important notions for Fenx, such as memory and childhood, but also the woman, who was always highlighted in his works. She also remains in her “Pop Art” influence, linked to popular culture and consumer objects, here the magazine.
